The Diary of a weird Kid. : How my day went so wrong and it was just 10am

I know what you’re thinking lol, if I wasn’t arrested I won’t write anything here(and it’s really not like that o). Oh well I’ll try to post something else after this. Hope you have popcorn and yea there’s some pidgin in it and maybe some Yoruba to make my point lol enjoy.

So errm I was on my way to work, oh yeaaa I work now, nothing much, just to pass time till school resumes. I was already running late and my "boss" has quite the temper so she kept calling my phone nonstop but i was in traffic there was nothing I could possibly do about the situation.

I was in a bus going from oyingbo to bariga and it was moving really slow, when we finally got to adekunle the driver was trying to maneuver his way across before the traffic light turned red, I could have sworn I saw green too. That’s how policemen entered the bus with us(lol no that’s not how I was arrested relazzz) saying he tried to pass when it was on red. this man begged like no tomorrow, we the passengers too joined in begging thinking they’ll leave him, they didn’t let him go o, one officer was in the bus beside me and the other in the driver’s seat trying to move the car. I texted my boss immediately that I’ll be later than I planned, she vex.😭😭 I was like let us even get down and look for another bus since we’ve begged they didn’t answer. I got down looking for another bus, my boss was calling me like I stole money, she said where was I, I didn’t know it was adekunle I was at that time so I said I had no idea. She didn’t believe me lol

So I was taking a video of the environment to send to her so she’d come pick me up or something. Mind you the driver was already displaying and attracting attention to himself the typical "how will I feed my family now" so they let him go but they already broke his gear or something, so the bus couldn’t move. Back to me, in the process of making the video a police officer came from behind me and snatched my phone and put in her pocket.

I thought it was play oo, I said sorry ma my phone, she said why are you videoing? I explained, she didn’t answer, I’m like ah so I borrowed someone’s phone to at least call my family members. Abi? So I explained to my aunty, she told me to hold on that they’ll give me back so I went to further beg the woman thinking she’d answer, they were like four there so they said let’s go and meet oga. I said where? They said panti(a police station at alagomeji) I’m like no nah ah how did this happen? My diar they carried me inside motor o like a thief, I was now trying to like cut my losses and jump out of the vehicle, as per I go buy another phone abeg. But them don hook me for one corner, so i stayed, we got to panti she was walking in front of me, another chance to run, almost took it lol but yea we got to the oga’s office, I greeted her almost knelt down gan sef😭.

The other officer explained to her, she looked very calm I just thought she was going to say delete and go. That’s how story started o, you people hate the police, we’re like water you’ll always need us. You’re too young for all these. all of you are against us we’re bigger than you, I can buy any car I want. Omoo all okoto but I was just nodding and saying yes ma until she got to the part where she said I’ll write statement and they’ll take me to court. In my head I’m like need I remind you that taking a video isn’t a crime?

But them no wan hear "I know my right oo"

I saw that she was dragging the matter too much

And I witnessed the driver’s display.

So that’s how I displayed some crocodile tears

So she said don’t cry don’t cry I have a daughter too, the emotional card always work, especially women. So she asked me delete it and go.

That’s how one man from nowhere came and created another scene, matter than doesn’t concern you. He told me to call my mom, he narrated stories and lied yes he lied. My mom said ehnehn is it a crime? 😂 that how they vex finish oo. Let’s go to DPO the mother will come here today, the woman selling corn outside too was putting mouth, I wanted to deck her fr.

So they took me to DPO’s office, on our way there, they were insulting me and shouting at me, I swear if you didn’t know what was happening you’d think I stole. One woman was really extra about it and was insulting my family and generation calling me names. I was looking down before o as per say I dey disguise. I looked up to see her face very well, I swear I wanted to quickly lhil frosh her 😂 make them kuku lock me up. Since they were already treating me like a criminal

but I just remembered that "God doesn’t sleep".

We reach DPO side o, he asked for my name and where I school, asked for the video I showed him, (I had 26 missed calls

Sheesh I don’t know how to handle this fame😂)He said delete it and go. So I left, it was as simple as that and y’all dropped insults, threats and curses on me? Nah we’ll go to that court o.

He said to the police officers and I quote

"Do your job well and then you"ll have nothing to be scared of let the young lady go sorry for the trouble dear."

1.They were going to extort the cab driver

2.According to my magistrate aunt they had no right to collect my phone for what I did wasn’t a crime.

3. The police officers that took my phone and Harassed me have been invited to court.

4.Thank God say man No be God.

5.There are still good ones out there,may we not just jam the bad ones.

This country is lawless and our so called protectors are always looking for something to hang our neck. How pathetic! And yea People suck. don’t expect nice, you’ll be disappointed.

I’ll do a story on that later lol

But yeaa That’s a not so short story of how I spent an hour in panti. 🦋
